This piece, approximately 15" x 14" x 8," was made over a canvas that my husband had primed but never used. I had no idea what was going to go on the paper covering until it showed up. This was really the beginning of using three- dimensional forms. My previous "tearing" had consisted of small pieces of paper glued on a larger piece-still relatively flat. PAPERPAINTING was the transitional piece into more three- dimensional forms. And, as the title suggests, it is a painting, starting with the canvas, "painted" with paper.
